July 1st is not the Last Date to link Adhar Card to PAN Number

All of you must have got this message from your family or friends

July 1st is the deadline to link your Aadhaar card to your PAN card. If you miss the deadline, the PAN card will get invalid and you may have to apply for a new one after furnishing your Aadhaar Card details. But that is not true.



People have gone mad to link their adhar card number to their PAN number before 1st July. People think that if they do not link their PAN Card with their Adhar their PAN number will become Invalid but that is not true. The linking of Adhar number with PAN Card will become mandatory after 1st July and Government will declare the last date for the linking. Till now government has not declared any specific date.

How to Link Adhar Card to PAN Number:-

Just go to

Just go to www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and click on the link on the left pane -> Link Aadhaar. Provide PAN, Aadhaar no. and ENTER NAME EXACTLY AS GIVEN IN AADHAAR CARD (avoid spelling mistakes) and submit. After verification from UIDAI, the linking will be confirmed.
